First Day of 1st Grade, 3rd Grade and MIDDLE SCHOOL - 6th Grade

 My last two in Elementary.
I told them they had to look out for each other.
Walking into First Grade with confidence.
He still turns around for one last smile for mom.  :)
He makes my heart smile.
One last wave before she officially heads into 3rd Grade - unbelievable!
Love this sweet girl and her amazing heart!
 She LOVES her teacher!
We've always loved Mr. Spencer... so excited to have him for class finally.
Taking my girl to MIDDLE SCHOOL

So lucky that she let me walk her up to school.

Love you, girl! You've Got this!
Sarah at the cafeteria door as I'm yelling... wait, just ONE more pic!

Post First Day Report:
TJ had a great day, but announced that he's not going back tomorrow.  (Takes after his Daddy who made the same announcement after his first day of Kinder)

Cheyenne loved her day and her teacher and was so happy to see her friends.

Sarah was so full of excitement and I soaked up every word as I know they drift away a little at a time becoming more drastically independent in Middle School.   I hope she always shares her day with me.  It's like she grew up over night - but she did tell me that she'd always let me walk her to school (while I cried telling her how much it meant to me and how other kids wanted their moms to drop them off a block from school)

Last Year to Love First Grade

Aww... our last year to love First Grade.  This book has been a sweet tradition.

Chalk the Walk - FBMS

A 6th Grade Parent tradition for Middle School is writing inspirational, motivational and fun phrases on the sidewalk at school for kids to enjoy on the first day.  Only three parents showed up (Jimmy, me and Amy) for Chalk the Walk the day before school started... but we rocked it nonetheless! Hopefully we'll inspire a few kiddos on the first day of school.  :)

Back to School Cuts for the Girls

Sarah had some layers cut and thinned out her thick mane a bit.  She loves it!  I still remember the first time we cut her long hair, she said... but Mommy will I still be able to gallop? I still see that little galloping girl.
I wish Jill could come fix Cheyenne's hair on the first day for me.  :)

Meet the Teacher(s)

Excited to meet their teachers... wearing Sinclair blue of course!

TJ's first grade teacher, Ms. Gutierrez -
-she's new to Sinclair and she's awesome!
We love her already!
Sarah found one of her favorites from 4th Grade... Mr. Hudson!
Aww... finally, we have Mr. Spencer for 3rd Grade!
We've always loved him and are so excited to finally have him as a teacher.

Panther Parent Social

My first official event as 6th Grade rep.  We had a parent social.  We had about 25 parents show up -- it was a great night of connecting and sharing our anxieties over middle school.  :)
